Our Services

We provide a wide variety of prospect research services meant to support your development process at every phase.

Whether you are embarking on a new capital campaign, need analytical support to help you reach the next phase of your campaign, need to build your endowment fund, increase general ops support, or are looking to learn more about your donors from a personal, financial, and relationship perspective, we can provide a data-driven plan to reach your goals.

The Full Profile.

If you would like a complete picture of your prospect, then a full profile is recommended. Full profiles are meant to be comprehensive and should be selected when you have a major opportunity. A full profile includes: Full biographical and family summary; full career and business summary for both husband and wife; corporate, nonprofit, and civic board affiliations; published charitable giving, philanthropic interests, major family philanthropy, and a foundation evaluation (Note: If a business owner, corporate giving is also provided.); a full wealth and asset workup including, real estate, stock (if public; estimated position if private), compensation (history if public, compensation benchmark if private), notations of any family wealth including source and level, and a “ballpark” wealth estimate; awards and honors; any additional supporting comments.

Wealth & Asset Assessment.

If you have an established relationship with a donor (such as a long-time donor or board member), know much about them from a biographical and career standpoint, but are uncertain on capability and inclination to give at a high level, then a wealth and asset assessment may be right for you. A wealth assessment includes: A condensed biography; condensed business and career summary; published charitable giving, philanthropic interests, major family philanthropy, and a foundation evaluation (Note: If a business owner, corporate giving is also provided.); a full wealth and asset workup including, real estate, stock (if public; estimated position if private), compensation (history if public, compensation benchmark if private), and a “ballpark” wealth estimate.

Because all research is custom, you can add additional categories, such as board affiliations, or family relationships to your wealth assessment.

Rate and Rank.

A “rate and rank” is a very quick method to determine if inclination and capability exist. Typically, a rate and rank is done following a database screen to verify results, or on a group of individuals where no information or limited information is known.

A rate and rank is an excellent method to prioritize prospects for cultivation and additional research. A rate and rank includes a brief bio and wealth and capability rating. The “rating” scale is created and tailored to meet your organization’s specific giving parameters.

Prospect Qualification Screen.

A prospect qualification screen goes a few steps beyond the rate and rank in terms of information provided, but it is still meant to be a “quick look” at a prospect to determine if inclination and capability are present.

Unlike the rate and rank the qualification screen provides base information in several categories; including, business name, position, and contact info; basic wealth indicators - number and value of real estate assets, value of published stock (if available), ballpark compensation, ballpark wealth range; highest published gift; presence of a foundation; and a basic bio for husband and wife. You may also choice to add board affiliations, or largest relative gift to the screen results.

Prospect Identification Projects.

A new prospect identification project provides you with a new pool of prospective donors for your project or campaign. Prospects can include individuals, foundations, and/or corporations. Prospects are uncovered through myriad sources, including, charitable giving databases, news articles, annual donor reports, among other sources with the goal to identify prospects that have shown demonstrated interest in giving to a specific interest area as well as capability (wealth) to make a large gift.

Prospects are selected based on pre-established criteria; such as, geographic location, age, documented interest in a specific cause, documented giving at a high level, and documented evidence of significant wealth. Together, we determine the search criteria that best meets your project needs.

Small Batch Screening.

Small batch screen services are also available for groups up to 1,000. Screens are conducted through 3rd party vendor, Blackbaud Target Analytics.

This is an excellent method to identify “low hanging fruit” to jump-start a major fundraising project.

Other Projects.

In addition to the above, we offer a variety of other custom projects; including,

  • Relationship networks

  • Database screen evaluation

  • Family philanthropy

  • Corporate and foundation research
