Course Selection #2:  Analyzing Wealth & Assets for the Gift Request Process
Cost: $300/person - 2.5 hr. session. ($150 for each additional person.)

Session Outline:
This is a mid- to advanced-level training session in evaluating wealth and assets. Participants will move through the process of identifying, collecting, and analyzing wealth and asset data for the gift request process. During this hands-on session, we will utilize and explore various web-based tools (both paid and free sources) for collecting and presenting data.

What you will learn:
  • Evaluating wealth indicators: A realistic approach to analyzing wealth and assets for the gift request process.
  • Compensation: For non-public companies - conducting compensation benchmarks, evaluating salary survey data, and industry compensation data; for public company executives – evaluating total cash compensation payouts from the proxy and comparitive data.
  • Real estate: Finding multiple holdings, evaluating “market” and “assessed” value, determining “sellable” value. A look at various web tools for collecting and analyzing data. 
  • Stock: Evaluating direct, indirect, vested options; identifying past sales and gifts.
  • Evaluating gains for mergers/acquisitions/sales.
  • Evaluating foundations asset values as it relates to personal wealth.
  • Pull your data together and determining a “range of wealth” and gift potential.
  • Question and answer session.

Requirements:
  • Preferrably two computers - one with Skype (Windows) or Face Time (Mac) access for the visual discussion, and one with high-speed web access to conduct actual research. Training session can be conducted with one computer; however, Skype or Face Time is required.
  • Microsoft Word
  • Knowledge and comfort with basic Internet functionality and search techniques

  • A week prior to your training session, you will be contacted to insure you have the necessary equipment and software in place, and answer any questions you may have.
  • You're ready for training!
  • We will interact throughout the webinar via the web and Skype!

  • Due to prep requirements, webinars are non-refundable within seven (14) days of the scheduled session.
  • Training is best conducted using two computers - one for Skpe (visual) and one for actual research.
