Laura A. Solla
Laura Solla’s career includes eight years in corporate product
marketing and marketing communications for several large
international companies, such as Lockheed and USX, prior
to joining the United Way of Allegheny County in 1991.

Ms. Solla founded Prospect Research & Development
Strategies in 1999. As a fundraising consultant, she provides
prospect identification and evaluation services, custom prospect
profiling, wealth assessment, prospect management planning,
and various training services to corporations and non-profit
organizations throughout the U.S. and U.K.

A recognized national presenter in the field of prospect research and prospect management, Ms. Solla has served as a guest speaker and trainer at numerous lectures, conferences, and seminars, speaking on such topics as — Introduction and Advanced Prospect Research Practices, Developing and Implementing a Prospect Management Program, Integrate a Gifting Through Stock Program, Wealth Analysis, and Using the Internet for Prospect Research, among others.

She is the author of “The Guide to Prospect Research & Prospect Management,” an in-depth prospect research educational tool for development professionals concentrating on prospect research and prospect management practices and using the Internet for prospect research. She has also authored, “The Guide to Analyzing Wealth and Assets,” a fundraising tool designed to educate and assist development officers with the collection and analysis of asset and wealth information on companies, foundations, and individuals for the gift request and cultivation process.

A graduate of Bradford School of Business with additional studies at the University of Pittsburgh, Ms. Solla is a volunteer with Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania, HUSU, and Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium.
